Cookies Donated Since 2002

In 2002, we began sending our signature smiley face cookies to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, hoping to bring a little joy to kids facing serious illnesses. Our wish is simple: that these bright yellow treats bring a moment of happiness to children and their families during challenging times.

Every now and then, we’re reminded just how much these small gestures mean. We received this heartfelt letter from Jeff J., a father whose daughter has spent years in and out of the hospital:

“My name is Jeff J. I have a 9-year-old daughter who has been in and out of the hospital since she was 6 due to a brain tumor. She can no longer walk, talk, or see, along with other challenges.

My family and I have spent years in hospitals because of this cancer. I just wanted to thank you for what you do with the cookies you generously donate. My daughter can’t eat them anymore, but my wife and I have enjoyed them now and then when they’re available on the volunteer-run coffee cart.

I meant to write months ago, but we’ve been busy with 24/7 care. These cookies are incredibly delightful, and I’ve come to look forward to them (okay, I might be addicted, lol). I’m a man of few words, but I want you to know that your cookies and generosity are deeply appreciated. THANK YOU AND YOUR EMPLOYEES for all you do for the children and families here!!!”

Jeff’s words truly touched our hearts. As long as these cookies bring smiles—big or small—we will continue to bake, decorate, and deliver them with love.
